Quick who has better wOBA since start of 2023, JP or Julio?
Both are .334! JP has been much better this year and they flipped the platoon advantage to Clase and set up force outs and a DP.
It seems like a bonkers thing to do when you hear the names involved, but actually makes a ton of sense.

In a 6x6 H2H categories league (OBP, hr, r, RBI, SB 2b+3b; ERA, WHIP, K, Save, QS, K/BB) I need to protect two players from being voted off. 25 man rosters, $260 cap. 4 OF, CI, MI, daily lineups.
Jose is one of the protected players but after that... Kirby? Snell? Sale? Not real obvious to me

First @ottoneu.com auction of the year starts tomorrow. Slow auction. Coming in with just $80 to fill 22 spots. Roster is headed towards stars and scrubs - really strong rotation, a couple of stud bats, but not enough money to be strong everywhere. debating three strategies:

K ⬇️ hard hit ⬆️ is a pretty good way to follow up a great 1st year. Projection pretty easily supports this price. Plus, these are all his non-HR to left. He's not a super pull heavy hitter and I suspect that new LF fence in Camden Yards will help him at least a bit.

I tend to think the community in these mocks is more likely to spend big on big names, but check out this graph, of mock averages from last year vs. first-year Ottoneu auctions. There is an anchoring issue here - the mocks set an early market, but...still, feels like the mocks are generally not bad.

Two teams up for grabs! The first column of numbers (and FAAB) is how player was acquired. The next column is the round of the pick you have to use to keep the player. It's keep 9. If the number is 0 or lower, the player can't be kept. If you keep 2+ in the same round, you have to move someone up.
