“Little Thief and the Martyr’s Head” is available now in the new issue of Beneath Ceaseless Skies! It’s about a homeless orphan girl who discovers she can speak to one of the severed heads mounted over the city gate.

Putting this together was heartening. I'd honestly forgotten that some of these were 2025.

In a tough year, I really needed to reflect on my #writing wins.

What's not pictured? All the other amazing stories I wrote! (Stay tuned for 2026+?)

If you want to nominate anything, I won't stop you. 😘🖤

Pete Holmes put on a phenomenal show tonight at Town Hall as part of the New York Comedy Festival.

I've been a Pete Holmes fan for years, very grateful to see him perform in NYC!

Thanks Pete!

2025 Awards Eligibility

I had five stories come out this year -
if you are reading for awards I’d be really grateful if you gave them your consideration, or maybe even told a friend.

(My graphic is very bad but in my defence I don’t know what I’m doing)

Someone should invent a keyboard cat jacket, then the cat never needs to leave the lap.

"Typed this novel on my emotional support cat & won the Pulitzer Prize, thanks keyboard cat jacket!"
The cat *really* wants to be on my lap, but I'm trying to write on my laptop, which makes my lap less accommodating, and my wireless mouse isn't working and I'm super-annoyed so I keep shooing her off.

If you only read one thing of mine, make it "Laser Eyes Ain't Everything", a piece Locus called a "sharp satire" which should give you lols and catharsis. www.diabolicalplots.com/dp-fiction-1...
