My Swiss mum seems unable to understand that not everyone speaks French. She put on a film in French (which my sister's boyfriend doesn't speak) and assured us it has subtitles.
They are in French.

I've not said much (anything) on here about the Unbound/Boundless debacle - so many had it much worse after all - but I've been out of work since it collapsed and I would so love the opportunity to edit and bring cool books to the table again. In a company that pays authors and delivers books.

Can confirm: Willow is a lovely person that does not deserve this (not that anyone does), also her book slaps and I accidentally ghosted her for a poetry event because my workplace decided to implode and I got overwhelmed, so I feel especially bad for her
So a) no-one deserves this kind of treatment, and b) I’ve met Willow, she’s really sweet, and she *especially* does not deserve this kind of treatment.
Romance hetleresses are currently trying to cancel a trans woman booktuber, Willow Heath, because she said romantasy hetslop was kind of dumb and tradwifey or something. A selection of comments:

That "give me an LLM trained only on my own work so it can generate bespoke ideas for ME" idea baffles me. Part of being creative is evolving abd growing out of past versions of your creative self. Themes that interested me at 20 don't move me now. I wouldn't want them calcified in a data set
