For what I like to call crepe (*creepy 👀) Tuesday
Been working through the final Act of the folk horror book (eek!), which means I have of course become distracted by next planned idea: sentient hive mind space moss horrors... (this one's been half-constructed for a while, but it's clicked a bit in my mind now so I may be able to write it...😅👀🌿)
Third of the way through draft of new Scottish folk horror novel, with reluctant forced return to small town, forest shenanigans, religious horrors, strange insects, dark folklore, sleep terrors, family secrets, a charismatic minister, and something is *really off* about his congregation...👀🐝

Today has been utterly demoralising, I'm sick and had some crappy emails come through, and I just really feel like giving up on writing long form completely, it's just not worth all of this

My new novella has been out a couple of weeks, & it's started getting some nice reviews, so maybe you'd like to go read it? There's scientific research, high stakes action, & weird disfunctional people coping with a planet that wants to kill them. What more could you want?
My new novella, All That Is In The Earth, is out from @lunapress.bsky.social in less than a month! A quarantined planet, an incurable disease, & a band of survivors in a desperate race against infection, flesh-eating monsters, & each other. Plus bonus soil science!
