One of my 2025 resolutions was to try to get back into music, it may have taken me until December but I sang in front of people for the first time in years tonight (at a post-apocalypse-cult themed Christmas party in a bunker event, no less 🎵🎄☢️)

I will always recommend anything by @rainewilson.bsky.social, but for this thread I'll shout out The Way the Light Bends, a beautiful, compelling, and moving novel set in Scotland, with lovely and subtle nods to folklore and the fantastical!

Thirsty Animals by Rachelle Atalla - set in a nearish future dystopian Scotland, this was an excellent, profound, and unsettling, read, completely drew me in and couldn't put it down (also The Salt Flats a brilliant read this year!!)
