Temporary UK asylum/ refugee status, reviews every 2.5 years, 20 years to secure permanent status, forced return of families if government deems it "safe". Given that the Tories mandated Rwanda "safe" forever, by law, that's implausible.

I can and can’t fathom how people don’t know about Britain’s role with enslaving people. I guess it’s not taught here in schools in much depth, and Brits seem to assume that because there were few enslaved peoples here in the UK it wasn’t a big deal, ignoring the vast wealth gained thru slavery

The US is the only industrialized country that treats healthcare like a commodity & not a necessity, and it's costing Americans their health & lives.
All Americans should have access to the healthcare they need without going into medical debt because they needed medical care.

I honestly think anyone who has been home secretary this century should be barred from being PM. The moral compromise and performative cruelty that has been part of the job description erodes the decency vital to provide values based leadership. It corrupts politicians brains.

Yes, seen all those people wading across the Rio Grande or crossing the Sonora with their sick cattle, herded from who knows where. Seriously? Far more chance of US beef being infected due to poor biosecurity inside the US, and cuts to animal health survellance budgets.
They’re bringing in their own diseased cattle so they don’t have to keep eating the cats and the dogs. 🥴
