Collaboration won’t make you safe. It will just make you a tool.
Plus, she’s inadvertently showing that her gender categories are social, not genetic or whatever. She thought those kids were boys because they were ‘acting like boys’. And yet she probably won’t reflect on this and learn anything…

Not often you encounter a perfect stereotype in real life, but there’s a guy on this flight sitting in first class in fancy hunting gear, complaining that it’s not fair he couldn’t get an elk tag because he’s not a Montana resident - *chef’s kiss*

Also, shout out to every woman at work today who has to put up with a sniggering male colleague “joking” about this headline
No.

But also, this discussion is a hot mess of fact-free right wing fantasy and poor reasoning

I will subscribe to the substack or whatever of any journalist who publicly asks him “Governor, what do you think a tariff is?”
They’ve all gone mad.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott: “After the polls close tomorrow night, I will impose a 100% tariff on anyone moving to Texas from NYC.”

“cascading effect”

Well yeah I think that’s the goal, right?

The designation would have, as one domestic terrorism expert told NPR, a "cascading effect across civil society, including social media organizations, civic organizations and everything in between."

Never going to stop being grimly funny to me that Trump thinks his cognitive function tests are IQ tests and he's acing them

WOW: "Covid-19 vaccines... set off a powerful alarm that rallies the human immune system against cancer and nearly doubles the median survival length of patients, according to a new retrospective study by researchers at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center & the University of Florida."
NEW STUDY PUBLISHED IN NATURE: People who got an mRNA COVID vaccine within ~3 months before or after starting immunotherapy for cancer lived longer overall than those who didn’t get the vaccine.

Sure, but this is not an inconsistency, it's just how racism works
The same people who lost their minds over Obama putting his feet on the Oval Office desk are totally fine with Trump bulldozing the White House.

A while back I thought Platner sounded like a good candidate. And then I learned that he got and kept a Nazi tattoo, said objectionable things about sexual assault in the military, and worked for Blackwater. Now I think he’s a bad candidate. Because I can process new information. This is not hard.

Gen. Caine has the chance to do the funniest thing
Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Dan Caine, a fighter pilot who patrolled D.C.’s skies during 9/11, will again fly the Air Force’s F-16 while Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth will be a passenger in a Navy F/A-18 in Nevada on Sunday.

anyone with the smallest particle of honor would, upon receiving orders to wage a “war from within” on US cities, immediately resign their commission.
Trump: "The ones that are run by radical left Democrats -- what they've done to San Francisco, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles. They're very unsafe places & we're gonna straighten them out one by one. This is gonna be a major part for some people in this room. That's a war too. It's war from within"

I do think we sometimes forget:
1. We need high-skilled migrants to keep the NHS working, and to grow the economy
2. High-skilled migrants have a *lot* of choices over where to go

And

3. We’ve been getting less attractive as a destination for years anyway (wages here famously suck)

Only an administration intent on committing war crimes in the present and future would stoop to calling Wounded Knee a "battle" rather than what it truly was: a massacre of over 250 Lakotas, mainly women, children, and the elderly. 1/
