The idea that 'cloth masks are good only for droplets' still circulates. Many have said this, but it is wrong.

Recommendations about cloth masks, from spring 2020, were based on aerosol evidence

Proud to support @jennykwan.bsky.social’s bill to close loopholes that let Canadian weapons be funnelled through the U.S. without oversight. With ICE abuses and U.S. arms transfers violating human rights, Canada must not be complicit.

Today I published my last story for The Texas Newsroom @KUTNews.

We analyzed years of data from Texas prisons w/o AC and found — more often than not — temps would violate standards for county jails.

Jails must keep temps between 65-85°. State prisons don’t. www.kut.org/crime-justic... #txlege
Many Texas prisons are regularly topping 90 degrees. The state is about to defend itself in court.
A new comprehensive analysis of state data shows Texas prisons get so hot in summer that temperatures there would routinely violate state standards for other types of lockups. The state will be back i...

Get the numbers straight @nytimes.com

Minnesotans stood in solidarity with a 20-below windchill.

And not thousands, but well over 150k.

That's Bank Stadium in the background. It has a cap of 50k.

There were easily 3x what Minneapolis looks like when a Vikings game ends.

Bravo MN! 🔥
Minnesota standing up to ICE.

And they did it in sub-zero temperatures.

This is the way. Mass protest is the only action, and we are going to see more and more of it.
