The big problem with trans discourse today, outside of trans and queer communities, is the cis/heteronormative lens that is still the default

Let me make myself very clear: I was trans DECADES before I ever said anything to anyone. If I had never come out to anyone, I’d still have been trans

The biggest jump in health problems is for those under 30. Clearly, covid DOES impact young people -- and fairly significantly.
🚨
Are people sicker now than in 2019?

Civil servants in England are.
Sickness absence rates have *risen by between 12% to 23% across the age groups*.

Are things getting worse?
It certainly looks like it.

This is exactly what we predicted repeat covid infection would do.

So, full Handmaid's Tale for the sins of speaking up and being empathetic. Gotcha.
Fuentes, yesterday: “Our #1 political enemy is women because women constrain everything, every conversation, every man, everything. They have to be imprisoned. They are the ones that are hurting the fertility rate. They're the ones making us sympathetic to poor people, which are also brown people.”
Nick Fuentes: “The number one political enemy in America is women. … They have to be imprisoned.”

My feelings about generative AI:

1) I'm highly skeptical it'll ever work

2) It's distracting from actual use cases for AI

3) We need a pause until it can be done without wrecking the environment or stealing IP

4) If it does have real potential then it shouldn't be controlled by ruthless people

Too many people underestimate how evil Google is and how impactful its evil is. Yeah, the company that struck down its "don't be evil" maxim a while ago, because I guess it felt too constraining.
At Google, speech critical of ICE is censored from the company's internal platform, employees who speak out are served with warnings, and leadership refuses to acknowledge a petition that's now gotten 1,200 employee signatures.

Inside the worker-led push to get ICE out of Google:
Google is stifling anti-ICE speech in the workplace as 1,200 employees call on the company to cut ties
The search giant has made it harder and riskier to protest its policies. Workers are still fighting back. Plus: A community takes down a data center, QuitGPT, and the 5 worst Super Bowl AI ads.

Didn't one of the Zuru relatives publicly deny being a name suppressed pedophile recently? Starting to think that these grown men who've got rich off plastic toys for children might not be people we want around anything to do with children 🤔
ahahaha not a zuru exec complaining in public that they know people in the epstein files but it’s unfair because they’re not “guilty” and reputations are being “unduly affected”

Every bro that defends GenAI:

*Will never address stolen intellectual property, resource consumption, pollution, etc.*

“But what if it was completely different?”

“Imagine if it were regulated from the start.”

“What if it *was* ethical?”

“Consider the potential.”

“You’re misunderstanding me.”
