This could be boiled down to "Guys, you're embarrassing me". That explains why it's in Jewish News and not the Guardian, but it also explains why Freedland is prepared to admit for once that the "official community's" attitude has always been political.

Books about “Asian wife sharing.” Detailed descriptions of orgies. Scenes involving “ladyboys.”

That’s what @dfriedman.bsky.social discovered on a Goodreads page tied to the email address of a top Pentagon official and mentor to Pete Hegseth.

What came next was even wilder.
I asked the Pentagon about Pete Hegseth's mentor. Then the threats started.

What is this high school debate shit?

Everyone wants peace!

Adults just realize that any peace which lasts beyond a Russian re-arming / recruitment cycle has to be on terms that don't reward Russia's initial invasion with land and legitimacy, and which meaningfully deter future aggression.

I’m amazed that the Beeb dared to carry this story, given aunty’s habitual and unjustified deference to St Nige of Clacton. I also have a horrid feeling that the cops will find “nothing to see here, move along” and the defanged electoral commission will do nothing.

As a first step, the EU needs to convince Belgium to hand over the frozen Russian assets. For Europe to fail to do so at the next European Council meeting Dec 18-19 would be disastrous. Belgium’s concerns need to be assuaged, but they can’t be allowed to stand in the way of European security.

Where are the Taurus missiles? Give Ukraine Taurus. And sequester the Russian loot in Brussels. If the Belgians want indemnities, indemnify them. But do it. The Trumpian US is a hostile power and won't help. Europe, Grow. A. Backbone!
