One thing to remember about Saturday’s snow: It will be all day light snow.
It will take A LONG TIME to reach the 3-5” forecast. We won’t hit it in the morning, we won’t be there by the afternoon, but we will get there by the time you go to bed.

Still looking like roughly 3" for Twin Cities, but ramping up quickly toward south. If storm slides north even slightly would push totals higher. Also, whatever comes is likely to drag into the middle portion of Saturday, so a slower accumulation VS earlier this week. #mnwx

Whatever one thought of it in the moment it's clear that a wide swath of Saint Paul residents have given SPPD a lot of good faith assumptions during an era when policing is under greater scrutiny. And I think today is gonna mark a major shift in that sentiment for a significant chunk of citizens.

In my lived experience of growing up in the suburbs (primarily Burnsville) more white people owned homes while more people of color lived in the apartment complexes. There were exceptions, of course, but many moving to car centric areas are not experiencing the American Dream
People keep saying "Americans prefer the suburbs so they can get away from people of color" but one of the main trends of US housing over the last four decades has been people of color reaching the middle class and moving to the suburbs. Because they want a house and a yard like almost everyone else
