Walmart sells something that claims to be a 'banana cleaner'. The description is a weird work of genius, including boasting '120 minutes on a single charge, which meets daily use' and explaining 'just wipe it with a towel'.

“Every month, 14 to 16 million French internet users visit one of the 251 GenAI news sites most recommended by Google. 74% of these internet users are over 50 years old, to the point that they visit more GenAI news sites than real news sites.”

The inaction of authorities is disturbing. 🤷‍♂️

First year selling my art at Christmas without the Other site, where most of my sales came from, as well as losing US orders to new tariffs, so it'll be a tough one - I put huge work into every order, so even if you can't buy, shares help get them in front of eyes. GRMA! www.ciaraioch.com/artprints

Wait so Disney buys stock from OpenAI and OpenAI pays Disney in stock to license its characters? Amazing
Sources: Disney's Sora deal is entirely in OpenAI stock rather than a cash licensing fee; Disney has the option to buy additional stock beyond the $1B stake (Bloomberg)

A very good (if depressing) read
Let me help here.

If most AI projects lose money, someone has to pay for them.

Hence: cost cutting.

So, actually, you can blame AI. But not for the usual reason claimed. AI is not replacing humans, it is replacing profits. And without profits, you can’t employ humans.

Companies Are Blaming AI for Layoffs. The Real Reason Will Piss You Off.
180,000 tech workers lost their jobs in 2025. Companies say it’s because of AI. Oxford researchers call BS.

Roger Dean is the most famous artist for many of Psygnosis's covers, but there were also others who created cover art for them, such as Ian Craig, Peter Andrew Jones, and Melvyn Grant.

That's… a lot of wine. Doesn't seem like it would need to be refillable.
My nan in the 90s and early 2000s, repeatedly, looking at the world: "The world's gone mad, son. I don't know how it can get any madder than it is right now."

Me, grabbing a time machine with the dial set for 2025: "Hold my drink, nan."

This makes me feel insane.

Global copyright and IP laws were largely led by Disney and their infamous desire to maintain an iron grip on their creations. They have been litigious and ruthless in enforcing rules to protect their IP for over 100 years.

And now - fuck it. Go nuts. Who cares? WTF??
Not surprised, of course. But still. Steal from the creators who made your company what it is at a large enough scale, and you reward the thieves with wealth the likes of which none of us will ever see.

All this and: what does it say about the upper class, our politics and media, if it was common knowledge this man was a Nazi for most of his life, and yet that was no impediment at all to his personal advancement and national promotion? Has, if anything. greatly enhanced his appeal within the system
It’s not him being a teenage Nazi that’s the issue here: it’s that he’s still one now, he has been throughout and his politics are those of the racist, fascist far right. The difference between him and e.g. Griffin is that Farage knows where the line is and that he should push at it, not cross it.
