Thanks to @andyaml.bsky.social nudging me, I picked this one up as well and yep, this is cool. It's very rough and raw (it has that very specific 'low-fi Godot game' feel) but it's smart.

I love crazy ideas that suck ass.
This game/film series apparently required players to download a new one minute chapter *every day for a year* and if you didn't beat the prior chapter you didn't get access to the next. They must have had five players by the end, at best.

Thinking about this some more. I wonder if this is why platform fighters tend to do so much better. People know how to play platformers and playing smash or whatever translates those skill sets pretty well.
People usually say "it's the lack of teams" and there is probably something to that, but I honestly think like... Other games, even singleplayer ones, train you for many of these games and their mechanics, while Fighting Games have no real parallel genres to ease people in.
Trying to learn deadlock and I genuinely think it's insane how anyone could think fighting games have an accessbility problem when games like this are 4723458974389574 times more complicated and 854783647862347 times more popular lol
