One could go as far to say that social engineering of controlled opposition narratives like "cancel culture" "woke" are just examples of the status quo practicing intersubjectivity, by convincing others how to process their own emotions to said online phenomena.
Parasocial proximity doesn't alway mean a reciprocal relationship. And then it comes to colonial structures there's constant proximity between the exploiter and the ppl they exploit. Since that ambivalence is constant intersubjectivity modifies social perception of power dynamics.
