Heads up for folx playing Arc Raiders: Embark has openly stated (in an interview with GamesRadar+), that the game uses the same AI voice tech as The Finals, and the CEO has talked about using AI to generate 3D models from YouTube rips.

If you're anti-AI you should not be playing Arc Raiders!
Not to be the fun police but I do hope people know that Arc Raiders does use generative AI for voice acting, and by supporting the game you're letting higher-ups know that this is an okay practice.

They try to downplay this on the Steam store page by describing the AI usage as vaguely as possible.

OMG, as a father, allow me to emphasize it is not ok for adult men to be into teen age girls, and if you are an adult rationalizing “15 year olds” as somehow ok:

You are gross

You need help

Stay the hell away from my children or my students

I will briefly ... BRIEFLY allow gen AI to exist for the sole purpose of someone creating a video of Trump singing Taylor Swift's "Wood" to Bill Clinton and making it go viral.

I don't just "want" a Socialist Democracy. I'm "owed" by the simple fact that I've had to spend far too much of my life being forced to think about Bill Clinton's junk.

I thought the idea of a sex abuse ring at the highest levels of government was overheated and ridiculous.

I thought Captain America: The Winter Soldier having secret Nazi senators was over the top.

My life has become a single ongoing revelation that I have not been cynical enough

And we knew this. This wasn't speculation. We studied it, we had the talking points. We trained volunteers to explain this to people. It's not a surprise. Rich people don't flee places with good quality of life when we increase the quality of life. They might try to cheat us, but they don't leave.
NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

67 votes would be needed in the Senate to override a Trump veto of releasing the Epstein files.

67

6 ... 7

The plot lines are converging.

I see the “technically it’s ephebophelia” crowd is out today, so just a reminder that A) this is NOT a case where technically correct is the best kind of correct and B) the minute you say this, the gods dump you in the “irredeemable creeper” basket and wash their hands thoroughly after touching you.

If they're willing to cooperate, then they've already got plans to make sure the files never see the light of day. And beyond the fact that the resolution would still need to go to the Senate where it needs 67 votes to avoid a Trump veto. We're not winning this in a fair fight. Leak the damn files.

Hey so “underage girls” are…children. The word you’re looking for is children. They’re not like, women-in-waiting or women-lite or whatever. They’re children. I think some of you are very uncomfortable with what that means for you but it is still true.

And this is why I've never put much stock in the Epstein files. If they're that nuclear, they're never going to let them be released while they're in power. If they aren't then they're inconsequential.
Q: "Why are White House officials…meeting with Rep. Boebert in an effort to try to get her to not sign this petition calling for the release of the [Epstein] files?"

Leavitt: "I'm not going to detail conversations that took place in the situation room."
