This makes my skin crawl to read. Just so deeply embarrassing out infuriating. Print this out and mail it to your reps. Read it to them on their voicemails. They all need to feel unimaginable shame until they finally grow the collective spine to - at the very least - call for new leadership.

If I was the USA I would simply enact universal healthcare, thereby increasing the risk pool to maximum size, and cutting the per capita cost by half, while producing significantly better healthcare outcomes

I am kind of sitting here mouth agape as I realize that the thing that really got eight Democrats to cave was a provision which provides backdoor criminal and civil immunity to them personally by making it functionally impossible to ever investigate the Senate

The thing about Mamdani is that he’s a talented politician but not otherworldly or one in a billion, he’s just a competent guy with popular ideas who ran against an entitled piece of shit and to me it’s a lot more optimistic to imagine 1000 campaigns like his than to view him as a unique phenomenon

But… it doesn’t. There’s no fight anymore once you cave when you have leverage. That’s called surrendering and it means the fight is, in fact, over.
