From The Office to degenerating into the nasty, punchdown, scoffing, comedically clueless, transphobic patron saint of wankers you are today. James Acaster called you out for the worse than worthless "edgelord" that you are. But you're too remote, too doubledown, too stupid to take that on board.

Oh dear. Poor Murray. Struggling to find a path for his EPBC reforms to pass both houses before his own imposed time limit. Oh the sweet irony of his predecessor having it stitched up in her last few weeks as Minister. I hope Tanya is enjoying the show.

“The first interaction that many…have with Charlie Kirk is going to be, from these reputable institutions, a completely whitewashed perspective.”

My colleague @samveep.bsky.social and I spoke with Hasan Piker for @motherjones.com this morning. www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
Hasan Piker was set to debate Charlie Kirk. Now he's warning of a "Reichstag fire moment."

Or just equally ill-judged and repugnant decisions.
So a retired Australian politician shaking the hand of China's president is dancing with the devil, but a sitting Australian politician shaking the hand of a US president (a convicted felon, rapist, fomenter of armed insurrection, avowed friend of dictators) is honouring our great ally?

Interesting question then for Creative Australia at the next Estimates hearing.
Via @timcoronel.bsky.social, this story has been updated: “The publication recently secured a $100,000 grant from Creative Australia to fund its next two years of operation,” the MEAA media director said."

So not rolling in it for sure...but still lots of explaining to do from UniMelb!
Rather buried in here is the extraordinary-in-the-context statement: “The publication recently secured a $2m grant from Creative Australia to fund its next two years of operation”. The plot doth thicken... #Meanjin www.theguardian.com/books/2025/s...

bad news for countries still hitching their carts to expanding fossil fuel production
IEA says:
1. China's oil demand peaks in 2027 due to EVs.
2. Global demand for combustible petroleum fuels FALLS by 2028.
3. Global oil demand, including for petrochemical feedstocks, peaks and begins to fall by 2030.

Okay, but this won't stop the genocide, @albomp.bsky.social.

You need to ACT—
SANCTION Israel
IMPOSE a total arms embargo
EXPEL the ambassador
BREAK THE SEIGE
SUSPEND ALL TRADE AGREEMENTS until Israel ENDS the GENOCIDE, the APARTHEID and the ILLEGAL OCCUPATION

Tony Bourke has refused visas for bat researchers. Yes bat - not fat, or mat, or splat. Bat. Those tiny little flying mammals. WTF is not wrong with this government? What did some idiot put up to the MO in a brief claiming the terrors posed by bat researchers?
In future, when I hear @albomp.bsky.social or anyone else from @australianlabor.bsky.social say the words "social cohesion," I'm going to hear the words "white supremacy."
