Preordering books is both free and an absolute good. Not free in terms of money, probably — economists are divided on that point. But if you can do it, you should.

Just saw a post of a tshirt that read "A coward friend is as good as an enemy" and I need y'all to marintate in that. Maybe write it on your bathroom mirror. At minimum admit if you're the coward in your connections.

If I found my child dead by suicide and this Chat GPT response on his computer, Sam Altman would have to worry about a lot more than a lawsuit.
The exchanges between Adam and ChatGPT are devastating. This, in my mind, is the worst one.

One of his last messages was a photo of the noose hung in his bedroom closet, asking if it was "good." ChatGPT offered a technical analysis of the set up and told him it 'could potentially suspend a human."

Be gentle. They haven't grown up facing the the constant criticism, failure and persistent mental recovery involved in actually making an effort to develop artistic skills over a lifetime, so the precious flowers don't have the thick skin that naturally comes with the skills they've bypassed.
It's very telling when a proponent of AI "art" complains about people dunking on their work.
Art gets critiqued. People pour their heart and soul into a piece and someone will still be like "Shit. One star."
So excuse me if we don't spare the feelings of those who use the plagiarism machine
