Me, every year. 😅

_At least_ Epiphany. But I've said it before: if I had my way, the tree stays til Candlemas. It's senseless to end things so abruptly with no alleviation from the misery of the remainder of winter. Medieval folks absolutely had the right idea celebrating Christmas until then.

I spent the last two days building pull out shelves for our dark and heretofore mostly useless pantry; stuff would get piled in the back and not used. Here you can see the clamps holding on the decorative millwork. I blame @jeffparker.bsky.social & @lelandp.bsky.social for making me like this.

An exceptionally stupid and contingent set of circumstances made Stephen Miller the most influential ideologue in the US. There is no future for the left or liberalism that does not take as a core mission ensuring he is punished for his crimes & no one as hateful as him is ever close to power again.

My son is 9 months old and he loves to play with latches, chains and bolts so we made him this object which I call the “security charcuterie”

I DESTROY THE TOWN

I think STRANGER THINGS should end with the kids redeeming Vecna and teaching him to play D&D in the basement

OK I DESTROY EVERYTHING
No, no, you have to roll for initiative first
OH. I ROLL A FIVE. I DESTROY EVERYTHING

To watch a “It’s a Wonderful Life” for the 50th time is to confirm that MAGA is totally bogus.
Even in 1946 nobody was rooting for Mr. Potter.

I know it’s only supposed to be one but, thankfully, a couple of things come to mind: (2018’s) God Of War, Allman Brothers Band live at the Filmore East and (2025) Superman. I’ve leaned on art/pop-culture as much as I could this year. I’m grateful I can count on it as a source of hope and joy.
2025 has been a rough year. What's one piece of art that's brought you absolute joy despite everything?

Another banger from @benjamindewey.bsky.social's Tragedy series - I am nearly finished with my leisurely trawl of this archive.

The print version ought to make a great last minute gift - I have not seen it personally, but the physical edition is a reliable glow-up for a comic in my experience.
