Unconscionable gore writ metallic. This 'super' robot Red Baron is more animal than champion of the doomed... and I think I'm only 2 discs in, thanks for the reminder
SUCH a good goddamn show.

This bobtail squid burrowing into the sand is already adorable, but please watch till the very end!

It sticks out its little arms and earnestly sprinkles sand over itself 🦑𓂃◌𓈒𓐍

Los Angeles, CA -

Bit of a false alarm; crowd isn’t marching yet though they are assembled in the street currently. Making speeches still.

Buttons (next door's cat): I have come home! Let me in!
Us: It is good to see you, but you live next door.
Buttons: No, I have been on an expedition and am very tired. Look, this is my house! (Rubs head against door frame, table legs.) Prepare high tea! (Looks meaningfully in direction of kitchen.)

You might like to know that "Alexander The Great", a pilot which I believe was made in 1963, shelved then aired a few years later - is up on YouTube. William Shatner as Alexander. Adam West as Cleander. John Cassavetes, Joseph Cotten and Simon Oakland also lurking. It's... a trip.

Erich von Däniken was more than a little #Scarfolk
When I moved to Switzerland, I discovered he was a local. He built an 'ancient mysteries' theme park, which soon failed, but the buildings still stand. I took some photos a couple of years ago.

Today's review covers THE FLAPPER (1920). Olive Thomas plays a daffy teen who gets herself into all manner of trouble as she chases boys and tries to prove that she is a sophisticated woman of the world and not some kid from Orange Springs.

my effin' hero. heard the camera rolling through the cowl and stayed. in. character.
BATMAN KERB DRILL (1967): Holy PIF! While on a promotional tour for Batman, Adam West filmed this road safety public information film for British kids, in character as the caped crusader, and it's every bit as wonderful as you'd expect.

A few short mins into 'Q Planes' and Ralph Richardson is on fire. It's clear how Patrick Macnee would want some of this in his portrayal of John Steed. And the bantz – it's like they filmed the speed run and didn't bother with the real take! Though part of that is the 24FPS wrongly telecine'd at 25.

Viewers in mission control and at home were amazed, but they were even more so when a second TV broadcast from Apollo 10 showed them views of the receding Earth in stunning full colour. On Apollo 8 it had just been a monochome low resolution image, but now here it was. Stunningly blue and white.

Curious lately why people print news to paper, and why I should be made to look at photos of that. My only conclusion is that the people inking headlines are doing it as art, not news, and others are merely putting the glyphs on 'exhibit' for aesthetic evaluation of those shapes. Let the trees live!
