Louisiana Made It Nearly Impossible to Get Parole. Now It’s Releasing Prisoners to Deport Them.
Gov. Jeff Landry eliminated parole for prisoners arrested after Aug. 1, 2024, and tightened eligibility rules for those already in prison. Then he set all of that aside for one group: undocumented immigrants. Why? To have them deported.

your path has already been chosen, and manifesting strength is the best thing you could do at this point. knight of pentacles reversed signals a stagnation or barrier to your efforts at harmony, but there's still hope. you're stronger than you think. channel that fear into something creative.

heavy fire energy. you may be experiencing some instability in the face of upcoming communication but you must access your internal strength to handle it like the empress. this is something you've wanted for a long time; a calm and stable approach will yield the best results.

Meant to mention this last week, but if you have a young person in your life who’s into history or graphic novels or just good books, buy them George Takei’s “They Called Us Enemy.” My oldest couldn’t put it down.

got a real "externally beautiful person who wants to control another person refusing to take an offer, meanwhile it's just that they're a mean bald man inside" energy from this one. "I must be cursed"

balancing internal/external judgment of yourself/you in the aspiration for connection w an equal, potentially unattainable. 777, creativity & hope after a tower moment, using inspiration for a project you might want to keep safe. Conflicted, perhaps btwn the 2 natures of 1 person, or 2 ppl.

Im no fan of Iranian state media, but attacking the press (free or otherwise) is an IDF signature move.

When Los Angeles actually *was* burning down six months ago, these people didn't give a damn about us. Now they're spreading fake AI videos showing LA burning
i've been trying to see what the right wing platforms (even outside of X) are showing people regarding the protests in LA and i am not sure it can be overstated just how much the AI slop is being used to reinforce the idea that downtown is a post-apocalyptic war zone

in Germany a lot of this was a reaction to the war years and the failed promises of German imperialism, but you see similar dynamics all over. Fascism's greatest supporters are mediocre people born in comfort who need someone to blame for the fact that they don't have more.

Tear gas can cause long-term health consequences by making people more susceptible to contracting respiratory illnesses, including COVID.
