Those who earn over £33,000...taxed a little extra...the price of a coffee(4 quid), or £9.90 for every prescription item. I know which one I'd rather pay for.
On a visit to my pharmacy, I picked up 3 different medications, free at the point of need thanks to our taxation system in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Medications in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 are currently £9.90 per item.

I went to uni in 1998. I paid full fees thanks to Labour so was 4 grand in debt before I started. The banks were throwing overdrafts at students too, you could get 2 grand by signing a bit of paper. Easy peasy. It's a con, education is a right and essential to our economy. UK govt is disgusting

When the Liz Truss-supporting "newspapers" complain about the budget, remember, it's now more expensive to service our debt....because of Liz Truss!

@mrjamesob.bsky.social From assisting people with benefit claims over the years, life on U.C. is far from easy. Rent is paid in full up to a cap, the remainder is almost impossible to live on. There is no chance to save. Some believe the idea is to starve people into work.

4 flats on fire in Hong Kong, flames still coming out of them, and yet 3 members of the construction company have already been arrested and charged with manslaughter.

How many people have red or blue tories arrested over grenfell tower which was destroyed 8 years ago?

Probably won’t see this in mainstream media - aka the right wing press - coz it’s against their narrative. Wind energy in Britain broke a new record last week with nearly 23GW on the grid one cold windy evening. That was 56% of all electricity on Britain’s grid.

Up to 7m extra working-age people could be denied minimum standard of living in retirement if UK state pension triple lock is ditched.

Neoliberals squeeze wages and call for real cuts to pension.

Thousands will die prematurely.

State pension must not be less than the minimum wage

If you disagree with this, you're the problem.
Racism is not justified by immigration levels or rising poverty, unemployment or crime.

It is not justified, period.

I see the rising wave of voices & arguments justifying the rising levels of racism as the most sinister political development in 2025 on the British landscape.
The Home Secretary explaining that the rise in racist violence is, actually, the natural response to higher levels of immigration is a state of affairs that can't exist without the government having largely decided that racist violence is, if not legitimate, at least understandable.
