Tonight was the annual For Them All vigil, held by Scottish Women's Aid to honour the women and children who have died as a result of domestic abuse. The leading cause of death for those who have experienced abuse is suicide, an average of two women a week are killed by a current or former partner.

Thanks to everyone who's been getting in touch, been dealing with non-poetry related dangers for the last wee while, trying my best to swim against the current. Thanks for the reminder that I am never without community, and thanks to the people out there who help keep survivors of abuse safe. 💙🏴

Got to speak to a group of young people about advocacy, surviving domestic abuse, and mental health. They were the same age I was when I was able to leave, really put things into perspective for me. Forever grateful to the shoulders, ears, and voices that helped me escape, heal, and stay safe. 🏴💙
