Is anyone else absolutely appalled and repulsed by the current story lines on Coronation St and Emmerdale? The news is appalling, the weather is grim, and the soaps are intent on pushing me over the edge. ENOUGH with the coercive control & people trafficking & child abuse 🤦‍♀️

“The Child Sex Abuse Material Machine might have some good uses too” is a lamentable policy position.
My word.

The Taoiseach, in China, says "platforms can be misused and abused or they can be used for positive reasons as well..." and says that should be considered carefully "before jumping to conclusions" on whether it's appropriate for the Government to be on X.

If you were personally not racist but you ran a party that contained this level of racism, you'd resign on the basis you had somehow ended up organising racists into a serious campaigning force, which had never been your intention.

On the other hand, if you *are* a racist...
"More than a third (37%) of Reform UK voters said they would be prouder of Britain if there were fewer people from minority ethnic backgrounds in a decade’s time, and 10% [compared to 3% overall] said it was important to have white skin to be a good British citizen."

Britishness is absolutely not dependent on where someone was born.By way of illustration, a man born in Dublin in 1887, attended TCD, and known as “Fruity Metcalfe” by his “chums” including “Dickie Mountbatten” is clearly British 😂😂😂 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward_.... Joanna Lumley was born in India.

Encryption isn't hostile. It's a bedrock of our cybersecurity 🔐

The UK's national security laws join a long line of attempts to frame encrypted messaging as something to be broken into pieces.

Without it, we're more open to threats from hackers and criminals.
