Love to find a bad ass artist that uses alt text, go give him a fallow, because look at this!
I love the Romantics with all my heart, but I'm practiced at analysing and matching other styles if you're looking for more Firmly 1700s hahaha

My portfolio these days is a tad more modern, but the heart is still there, I like to think: www.dakotacurry.com/illustration

Would love to work with you!

Do I know artists who work in an 18th century style of illustration who might take on a modest proposal (so to speak)?

(would love to see portfolios)

it has been known for some time now btw that people who believe in at least one conspiracy narrative are much more likely to believe in others, evenif they logically contradict each other, and that conspiracy beliefs are more likely for conservatives and are extremely common in fascism
It’s revealing, where transphobes go next on their fascist journey, and how they get there. With some it’s purely craven, far-right gobs-for-hire pivoting to whatever it is profitable to be angry about. But with others, you can see a morbidly fascinating process of radicalisation.
Calling transphobia a 'gateway drug' to the far right undersells it. It's pure accelerant. Grimly fascinating to guess what crankery becomes any famous transphobe's secondary obsession, cos they all have one: 15 minute cities are fascism! Grok noncing is cool! ICE are good! We should kill all dogs!

Conspiracism should not be thought of as someone simply getting a bad idea but rather a mental state that can be categorized in the DSM

i've seen it happen enough times now that it's truly a pattern of behavior and not a one-off:

bitches using phrases like "in the early days of the internet" and then showing footage of stuff from, like, 2004, need to be stopped. lmao

Someone popping up like "stop amswering memes that give answers to your security questions!" And like, its already out there, youd be flummoxed at what a casual online search will pull up on you, let alone someobe that gives a shit to look.

If your answers to these things are earnest and honest->

Trash Bros discussing their "ghibli-inspired" ttrpg: "we refuse to humanize monsters, because in an adventuring game you need to be able to just have fun killing things without having to moralize or think about it"
Dev: We're making a Ghibli-esque game

Me: What, like Grave of the Fireflies?

Dev: N-no...

Me: Hm... strong themes around the struggle of humanity and nature coexisting?

Dev: -visibly sweating-

Me: Ah. It's just the pastel anime aesthetic isn't it?

Dev: Please... stop... the SEO will hear you!

I’m convinced ghibli ‘fans’ don’t even watch the movies. I get it the aesthetic is nice, but there’s an actual film and message under all those pretty picture.

Never run your generator indoors. Even with the big garage door open, it is not enough ventilation. Always run your generator outdoors, at least 20 feet away from your home.

For reference the Boston Massacre only killed 5 and that prompted a revolution…
ICE has killed 9 folks in the first 26 days of ‘26:

• Alex Pretti
• Renee Good
• Keith Porter
• Heber Sanchaz Domínguez
• Victor Manuel Diaz
• Parady La
• Luis Beltran Yanez-Cruz
• Luis Gustavo Nunez Caceres
• Geraldo Lunas Campos

They all deserve justice. And for us to remember their names.

"it's about ethics in game journalism" thread dancing around what the article was about (a rich friend refusing to pay the queer artists and writers who made the actual game)
Back in the day I used to work for a news desk.

It wasn't for very long, and journalism ultimately wasn't for me---but because of it I have a healthy respect for those who do journalism with integrity; and know how to recognise some of the tricks employed by those who don't.
