Funny how it’s performative reading now. Back when I was younger, people just called it being a dork.
The strangest part of getting older has been witnessing all the nerdy things I teased for loving as a kid become so trendy, people now get accused of trying to look cool by doing them in public.

".. Yeah. I mean, I’d be open to it, although right now I’m not so open to working with Disney. But if they can kinda figure it out and, you know, not succumb to fascism, that would be great."

One week to go until #TheMikey deadline. Although that’s 8 days, today being Saturday and there being until midnight next Saturday to enter. We know yesterday’s post said 7 days, but that person “doesn’t count the same”, so November 15 is also now further away. Did we say we aren’t numbers people?

For America to progress, there must be a general consensus that Trump is far closer to being an authoritarian than Mamdani is to being a communist. Until this happens, we will continue to let Trump violate every corner of the Constitution while treating social help programs as threats to democracy.

The Mayor of New York only makes $260k. I bet there are police that make more than that in NY with overtime.
We need to pay elected leaders more money and stop pretending it's some sort of calling. They're managing hundreds of billions of dollars in investments and millions of people's lives.

My five year-old thinks sickness and medicine fistfight in his body when he takes Tylenol and the winner determines if he feels better or not, and by my calculations, this makes him qualified to be the new United States Secretary of Health and Human Services.

Teapots that beep instead of whistle are just sad. I don’t care if it’s electronic, you get a fake whistle on that bitch! Otherwise, it’s like if the horn on a train sounded like a phone ringing.
