It’s not like Hannibal Lecter was a REAL cannibal. He only ate PARTS of people. It’s not like he was eating ENTIRE people like a real cannibal does. Plus, a lot of those livers could have passed as animal livers. He wasn’t eating obvious people parts like faces. He was into the barely legal meat.

Reading has brought me such great joy in my life, but, damn, has it also caused me terrible pain these last years. Literacy is a path to madness now. Every day, every news story, is an invitation for those of us cursed by the gods with basic reading comprehension to blind ourselves Oedipus-style.

Funny how it’s performative reading now. Back when I was younger, people just called it being a dork.

The strangest part of getting older has been witnessing all the nerdy things I teased for loving as a kid become so trendy, people now get accused of trying to look cool by doing them in public.

OSCAR ISAAC, on whether he'd return to "Star Wars":

".. Yeah. I mean, I’d be open to it, although right now I’m not so open to working with Disney. But if they can kinda figure it out and, you know, not succumb to fascism, that would be great."
