I’d be happy if some of the uber rich in NZ left. They disturb the peace, aren’t Living Wage Employers, throw $$ at political parties to remove regs, workers rights, safety&conditions. They continue taking more when they have enough while impoverishing people & communities. #nzpol #CallTheirBluff

A car driver delivered a trifecta when I was out biking today. Close passed on a narrow street, in the face of oncoming traffic, and then turned left in front of me so close that I had to brake. Gotta have yr wits about you to bike on suburban streets in Tamaki Makaurau.

There’s a sort of Dunning-Kruger effect happening where people who read widely, consider various perspectives, and put in effort to understand views they disagree with worry that they don’t do that enough, while people who don’t do any of that accuse others of being in a bubble and call it a day.

“Rewrite the law so that they are no longer breaking it” is absolutely what is happening with the Regulatory Standards Bill and many others in New Zealand.
