Je zou het bijna vergeten in de politieke chaos, maar bij de vorige miljoenennota is er een jaarlijks bedrag van 50 miljoen voor Long Covid uit de begroting geschrapt.

Dit keer raken de onderzoeksbudgetten op, en wordt C support "afgebouwd". En volgende keer stopt de... [zie afbeelding]
financiering van de expertisecentra. De overheidsinzet gaat er jaar op jaar strikt op achteruit, en het toekomstperspectief raakt verder uit zicht. Dit terwijl de Tweede Kamer bv nagenoeg unaniem heeft besloten dat er *structurele* onderzoeksfinanciering moet zijn. Al die namen staan eronder. Maar leveren, ho maar. Motie uit 2022. Aangenomen. Verzoekt de regering te bevorderen dat er structureel meer onderzoek gedaan wordt naar Long Covid.

Worth watching for a better understanding how Wüst et al‘s paper shows that the effects of deconditioning are different in healthy people and people who are sick with #LongCovid and #ME - we might be deconditioned as well, as a result of trying to avoid physical PEM, but that is NOT the main story!
