my most woke opinion is that any truck/SUV over 4,000 pounds should require a commercial drivers license, increased insurance/registration, more expensive parking, and higher punishments for traffic violations

It’s incredible that the NYT reporters aren’t even giving the impression of an apology, or admitting any mistake was made. They’re certainly not committing to earn back public trust with the public. They’re treating us like idiots for even doubting them. Fuck these people and fuck their little paper
The emails that you’re seeing now are news in themselves, but that’s because of how they’re coming out—a congressional committee released them—& the context in which they’re being viewed. A guy emailing a reporter talking about old girlfriends or saying someone is “dirty” is not a whole news story.
