This is also a way for Trump to reassure his administration’s many, many lawbreakers that he will do everything he can to try to shield them from state-level charges for their crimes, after he gives them broad pardons for their federal crimes
"The problem here is that some of Trump’s strongest soldiers got jammed up in state court, and neither Trump or Martin can stand the fact Trump can’t reach down and erase those convictions. So Martin is finding creative ways to shred the Constitution."
Ed Martin's peculiar view of pardon power
Trump's pardon attorney is very confused about how pardons work.

Almost certainly Seattle. Population went from 600k->800k, the city went from no rail system to a top-10 busiest network, region became an absolute economic powerhouse, there’s a total transformation of the waterfront, and so much more

my most woke opinion is that any truck/SUV over 4,000 pounds should require a commercial drivers license, increased insurance/registration, more expensive parking, and higher punishments for traffic violations
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

It’s terrifying how many “complete reworks” of critical systems that the most incompetent administration in American history since Hoover is undertaking.

NYT to the public:
November 14, 2025 at 1:48 PM
It’s incredible that the NYT reporters aren’t even giving the impression of an apology, or admitting any mistake was made. They’re certainly not committing to earn back public trust with the public. They’re treating us like idiots for even doubting them. Fuck these people and fuck their little paper
The emails that you’re seeing now are news in themselves, but that’s because of how they’re coming out—a congressional committee released them—& the context in which they’re being viewed. A guy emailing a reporter talking about old girlfriends or saying someone is “dirty” is not a whole news story.

Trump, Hegseth, Miller et al would love more paramilitary and narco-terrorist states, and the latter especially would appreciate more large-scale refugee crises in Latin America.
I think regime collapse is possible, but then the million dollar question is 'what comes next?'

as much as the USG might hate Maduro, it's not hard to imagine a word where paramilitary and narco-capital end up growing stronger as a result of this
I think people on here are huffing hopium if they think the Venezuelan operation ends in Vietnam II or is a complete debacle.

We’re likely to see a very competent air campaign, that does have the potential of decapitating the Maduro regime.

I’m skeptical massive ground operation is in the works.

Shame on that exploited teenager for having sex for money with powerful men and helping to upend the political career of Representative Matt Gaetz.

Is the NYT full of pedophiles or just covering for pedophiles? Either way they love pedophiles, so I’m not sure it makes much of a difference.
A teenager in Florida with a homeless parent wanted money for braces and ended up having sex for money with powerful men, setting off a chain of events that would have a dramatic impact on her life and help upend the political career of Representative Matt Gaetz. nyti.ms/49PSkL9

This is far worse than anyone expected.

Trump's HUD plan would cut *two-thirds* of permanent housing and push as many as 170,000 formerly homeless people back onto the street—redirecting funds to work mandates, forced treatment, and encampment sweeps.

All as mass internment camps are being built.
