I am baffled by the Washington Post's sanitized framing of this story. The Supreme Court is clearly going to "rule on the law" -- that is what courts do! The news is that SCOTUS signaled that it might gut the VRA entirely.

The contempt the Corporatist Dems have for their own base is appalling. The rank & file dems voted for Mamdani in their primary, he is who they wanted. Get in line and "vote blue no matter who" as you pleaded in 2024.

So Schumer and Jeffries (both from NY) declined to endorse the Democrat that the Democrat voters put on the Democrat ticket for NY mayor. And there are rumors that donors are looking to instead back Cuomo as an independent.
