This is so fucked up. I know the genie is out of the bottle, the cat's out of the bag, the horses have fled the barn, but there's got to be a way to fight this tech.
I wonder why they were wearing them… oh

“Judge Carolyn Kuhl, who is presiding over the trial, ordered anyone in the courtroom wearing AI glasses to immediately remove them, noting that any use of facial recognition technology to identify the jurors was banned.”
"The judge upbraided the Meta team and said if you guys have recorded anything, you have to dispose of it or I will hold you in contempt," Jacob Ward, a technology journalist and the host of the Rip Current Podcast, told CBS News, calling the incident "an extraordinary misstep" by Meta.

We have pampered stupid and ignorant people to the degree that they're allowed to kill their own children. We need to treat this like it is: demonstrable child abuse that deserves incarceration.

Seems counterproductive for a university system to announce to the world, "you should assume our graduates are thin-skinned ignorant losers who can't handle hearing anything except what they want to hear" but that's what UT's board of regents just unanimously approved. 🤷‍♂️
The University of Texas System’s Board of Regents unanimously approved a rule requiring its universities to ensure students can graduate without studying “unnecessary controversial subjects,” despite warnings it could leave them less prepared for the real world.
University of Texas regents OK limits on controversial subjects
Opponents warned the policy’s vagueness could push professors to self-censor and leave students less prepared for the workplace.

What are they so afraid of that they won't let me meet with detainees?

I will not give up.

A liberal majority (and it is coming) could and should be the turning point when even the most crackpoted of crackpot Conservative MP's have finally have had enough of Pierre Poilievre, muttering under their breath 'He's the guy making us look like f*cking idiots for choosing him as leader.'
The Conservative MP, who was granted anonymity to share their concerns freely, likened Poilievre’s predicament to his predecessor Erin O’Toole, who was ousted as leader in a caucus vote in early 2022.
