The weird thing about the media coverage of Linda Reynolds is how cold it is. Just the facts, like this is perfectly normal. No one in any position of influence prepared to state the obvious fact that this is evil, that Reynolds is a soulless narcissist, and that the law is wrong. Cowards. #auspol

This is really not a healthy response to "Zohran Mamdani condemned swastikas drawn on a Jewish day school in Brooklyn." Which is not actually something that has to do with Zionism at all. It is bad that parts of the left are becoming this conspiratorial and unmoored from evidence.

I think we all know this but a lot of us desperately want to believe otherwise. We assume that most people are fundamentally decent and that we should be able to find common ground even if we disagree. It's shocking to find so many who genuinely have nothing but hate in their hearts.

We've gotten so many of these pieces where a liberal engages in a good-faith effort to understand Trump voters. Every time, they discover that there's no deeper sympathetic reason they hold their views. They're just misinformed and hateful. My own efforts have found this too.

In my experience, it’s more like:
1. I get AI to write my emails and it’s awesome. We should use it for everything. (Senior management)
2. I have spent months trying to get AI tools to do something actually useful and now I won’t touch it with a barge pole. (The rest of us)

There are basically only two positions in the debate about AI.
1. I’ve barely invested any time in learning how to use it effectively. AI sucks.
2. I’ve invested in learning how to use this tool. Holy cow, it’s transformational.
Position #1 has lower barriers to entry.
