As a PhD-holder myself, I feel obligated to make it abundantly clear that people with PhDs are not necessarily smart. They're experts in a small niche of their incredibly niche field, sure, but sometimes that is all. A PhD is a test of resilience and stubbornness, not cleverness.

#GenX friends, our generational musical journey is complete. Today I was in an establishment who plays the local oldies station on the PA. I heard lots of ‘80s, thinking “That’s about right, but oldies is ‘thirty years ago’”.

Then, my friends, they played Nirvana.

Fucks sake people. The US government is now functionally autocratic. If you want policy to swing your way, you gotta please the autocrat. Not liking it doesn’t change the reality.

I appreciate it's cliche and pointless to note this, but I don't think that six months into her term a hypothetical President Kamala Harris would be suing MSNBC, Bill Gates and The Guardian for reporting on her close personal friendship with a paedophile.

I want to see the NSA/CIA/black ops comedy where they’re going after journalist Clark Kent and can’t figure out why they keep failing.

TFW I agree with all the ummmm problematic issues surrounding the U.S.’ bombing of the Iran sites, and also feel that those caterwauling about them are kinda missing the point.

The two best days in Twitter history were the day the llamas got loose and the day somebody posted that back and blue dress.
i miss the early internet. people were like “you gotta see this dude. this cat sure is long.” and they were right. it was really long. it never shoulda gotten any more complicated than that.
