Yesterday my partner and I counted all the ads along Chicago's Brown Line for "Friend," a company selling an AI chatbot pendant, and tallied how many of those ads were defaced.
Still working on a longer piece on this, but here's the quick and dirty: we counted 104 "Friend" ads total, 42 defaced.

And yes, vaccines help…lessen the severity if and when you do catch them. They aren’t sterilizing.
That doesn’t mean they’re unimportant. It just means they should not be your only layer of protection—and certainly not your family’s.

We always see a surge of infectious disease, including COVID, RSV, etc etc around Thanksgiving and Christmas. Unless you want to gift your fam with a few weeks sick this year, mask up as you travel!

When I say language is my special interest, I mean malapropisms and miscommunications/misunderstandings that happen when sometimes a word will mean one thing in one language and something else in another (and before you say that’s how language works hear me out). 😅

Censorship is getting worse. Palestine is being further suppressed, YouTube got caught deleting 700 or so videos on Palestine. Instagram is making it harder to share Palestinian content or screenshot the evidence. TikTok won’t let ppl comment the trans flag or the LGBTQ flag. 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈
