They weren’t 18 or 19! They were GROWN men fucking 15 year olds.
Megyn Kelly: "I know somebody very close to this case…Jeffrey Epstein, in this person's view, was not a pedophile…He was into the barely legal type, like he liked 15 year old girls…He wasn't into like 8 year olds…There's a difference between a 15 year old and a 5 year old."

As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

Good grief.

There were 23 stopgap funding bills for the FAA starting in 2008.

Funding cuts have hit the agency for decades, including pauses on hiring of….wait for it….air traffic controllers.

This committee will do nothing more than performative politicking about flight safety.
A U.S. Senate subcommittee will hold a Wednesday hearing to examine the impact of the government shutdown on aviation safety, a committee official told Reuters. The session signals congressional scrutiny of how funding gaps have affected aviation operations and agency readiness. - More on hype.aero
U.S. Senate Subcommittee to Hear on Government Shutdown’s Impact on Aviation Safety

The Federal Aviation Administration is completely in thrall to DOT.

The FAA Admin is nothing more than Sean Duffy’s assistant at this point.

He must be back in the office waiting for the boss to let him speak.

I can not stress enough how wrong it is to politicize flight safety.

Last summer at OshKosh FAA Admin Bedford said no one in the Biden admin cared about aviation; now we have this from Duffy.

This attitude turns safety into a concept to be owned for political gain. It’s dangerous & pathetic.
Sean Duffy: "You all saw with the DCA air crash -- the last administration didn't see the 85 near misses" (Trump was in office when that happened)

Not only do I never, ever want any of DJT's dirty money

Making him mad is more happiness than $10,000 could ever get me
BREAKING: President Trump says he will be recommending controllers who "didn't take any time off" receive a $10k bonus, adds that "those that did nothing but complain, and took time off" will have a "a negative mark."

Okay, since I've seen similar questions about stuff like this multiple times in the last couple weeks, I'm going to make a thread explaining it. /1

And that's record broken

42 Staffing Triggers

For reference, last week's was a new record (at least for during the shutdown)

39 facilities with staffing triggers

No surprise, as it was Halloween

My smallest real complaint about AI?

I am a fan of em and en dashes, and using then correctly over hyphens

I even went as so far as to memorize the ALT code for them

ALT + 150
ALT + 151

Now I can't use them — I'll be branded a slop-partaker!

RIP dash usage 2017–2025

It's real easy to make assumptions. I was a controller at ZTL (Atlanta Center) for 25 years and I can't tell you them implications of every detail. But I can point you towards the data the FAA releases.

In what is now the LONGEST shutdown in history, myself, along with controllers across the US, have been volunteering to make the public more aware of ATC'ers and our struggles

If you see folks with yellow shirts at the airport, come talk to us, ask us questions, take a pamphlet, spread the word ♥️

You "ease pressure" by paying them and FINALLY staffing up to proper numbers. (Like - hire more controllers than you think you need so that there are plenty of students in training. And then keep hiring controllers for YEARS so that retirements don't cause perpetual staffing crises.)
Breaking news: The Trump administration has announced it will reduce flight traffic by 10 percent in 40 markets across the U.S. as part of an effort to ease pressure on air traffic controllers, as the government shutdown enters its second month.

The Speaker of the House is getting paid not to work while the NTSB team heading to the crash site in Kentucky is not.

Mike Johnson needs to call the House back in session or get his ass down there and shift some wreckage.

He needs to experience what dedicated federal employees do for a living.

UPS2976 was a flight I've worked many times, and it fills me with sorrow to know I won't be talking to them on this mid
