Right now, the Gov/AG/Mayor can a) include a outright ban on usage as a goal of any talks or lawsuits, & the Mayor can b) sell off remaining City-owned chemical weapons, & c) commit publicly to assessing the health, environmental, & other damages already caused by its use (not just by feds).

40 years ago Challenger exploded. We were not yet accustomed to live televised trauma- I'm struck now by all that dead air, those speechless TV commentators. Many of us who were in elementary school coped by making up terrible jokes in its aftermath: jellyfishreview.wordpress.com/2018/08/01/a...

It's like Major League, but instead of moving the team from Cleveland, they're trying to invoke the Insurrection Act.
It was kind of a tossed-off gag in a blog last week but the ICE/CBP forces in Minnesota really are an expansion team made up of the most readily available players in a depressingly glutted violence worker marketplace. Not even quad-A types. Independent league guys with well-known makeup issues.
Federal officers just came in and cleared the protest with tear gas. One officer asked press why we didn’t call 911 when the protesters were destroying the hotel and told us that we are bad Americans. Full video to come on @statuscoupnews.bsky.social
