Everyone’s talking about Swarovski right now so let’s take a second and dive into the fact that they were NAZI Nazis. Like full-on Seig Heil, prosecuted after the war level Nazis and the modern company has done everything they can to hide all their archives and prevent anyone accessing them.

Should the Green Party (or anyone else keen to stand up for trans rights) want to issue a statement of their own demanding the government act, this is an excellent text to imitate.

We've written to Bridget Phillipson to point out she's legally obliged to reject the EHRC's draft guidance

The Government committed in its manifesto to “remove indignities for trans people”. We're asking that they take steps to protect the trans community & correct what the Supreme Court got wrong

Excellent news. Nobody more deserving of having a shite time after getting what they wanted than the prime minister who delivered the UK into fascism's gaping maw.

UK PEOPLE - PAL ACTION is STILL PROSCRIBED pending appeal & further action by the courts!!

If you are rightfully celebrating this huge win against the state it is STILL a terrorist offence to announce direct support for this organisation.

Be CAREFUL with how you POST about this victory 🇵🇸✊

1/🧵 This morning, I’m at the High Court in London for the judgment in R (Good Law Project and others, on the application of) v EHRC.

I’m unable to report live, but I will share updates as soon as I can, as anonymity orders and other reporting restrictions apply.

Hey @nadiawhittomemp.bsky.social , @racheltaylormp.bsky.social I was in Commons chamber this afternoon listening to your speech.

Given that we were discussing the harms of Section 28 and the progress made in dismantling it, I left feeling shocked that your government will impose a new one.

Once again: people are angry for very good reason, and this brand of post is perhaps one of the most tedious and bewildering. Practically every social media platform is rabidly pro-‘AI’ so are govts, academia, companies. This one small space being critical of AI is okay, I think.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think we’ve seen a UK politician as openly supportive of Trans+ people as Congresswoman Jayapal

With the violent threats Trans+ allies regularly face, this really speaks to her moral courage
Too often when discussing trans rights, we’re forced to be on the defensive, as Republicans wage attacks.

Today, we take the opportunity to look forward by introducing my Trans Bill of Rights, a comprehensive vision to provide protections for all trans and nonbinary people.

Enough now

Let’s be absolutely clear:

Any politician found in possession of indecent images of children is a child sex abuser

Any politician who chooses to maintain a relationship with a known abuser is, at a very minimum, enabling child abuse

Any politician rewarding these people is complicit

The obvious solution is a political debate between literally anyone brave enough from Reform, and Zack Polanski - at Bangor University. I'm sure we would all like to see that, even those opposing Reform's presence; and it solves everyones immediate gripes.
Reform will demand a platform at Bangor University which they weren't offered, but repeatedly deny politically-meaningful ones which they were.
Reform politicians are happy to throw insults from a distance.

But when it comes to debating their ideas? No show.

Richard Tice pulled out.
Farage won’t face me.
Now their candidate in Gorton & Denton has ducked our candidate Hannah Spencer.

Vote Green.

Mel’s Times colleagues are being very forthright about just how bad this likely to get for the Labour right, as basically every awful thing they’ve said and done for decades is dragged into the light and the lads are pulled in to justify it in live, possibly televised sessions.

@theguardian.com might not say it (obviously - they're betting heavily on Streeting’s transphobia to help keep things ticking over financially), but we will call it what it is: an odious, contemptible man scrambling to worm his way out of a national scandal in which he is neck-deep
It’s practically a work of art that he thinks we’re all that stupid.
