Twitter accounts are based in Russia. BlueSky accounts are based in homes with, frankly, too many books, plants, obsolete cables, and pieces of rustic pottery, that could do with a bit of a tidying up, to be honest.

From this minister's op-ed: "People wanting to experience God are more likely to meet the Divine trying to shut down the Broadview, Illinois, ICE facility than we ever were in church...God does not live in our houses of worship, but...with those who are bearing the brunt of cruelty in this moment."

Maybe important to note it was the disruption in air travel that Democrats couldn't stand and not, you know, 40+ million people not knowing where their next meal was coming from.

When the Democrats fail this time, it’s all on them. They can’t blame Trump voters, or superpacs, or gerrymandering, or lying ad campaigns. Democratic Senators did this to themselves, and against us.

Dick Durbin is done working for Illinois, so I called Chuck instead.
Have R senators? (Like me?) Call Schumer’s office to tell him you will never donate to another D senate campaign again as long as he’s Senate leader. Tell him this deal is a shameful joke and a betrayal.

(202) 224-6542
I just did this and if nothing else it was cathartic. I said I would make it my life’s mission to make sure there’s a primary challenger for any D involved in this deal, it’s fucking embarrassing.

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

Dick Durbin isn’t seeking reelection and has already cut off his voicemail. He has given up caring or fighting for us.
John Fetterman, Angus King, Maggie Hassan, Dick Durbin, Jon Ossoff, Jeanne Shaheen, Kirsten Gillibrand, Catherine Cortez Masto, Mark Warner, Cory Booker, and of course Chuck Schumer. Maybe others not top of mind. Not all responsible will publicly vote for the cave - that's not how this works.

This is the real reason. The ones voting yes don’t give one flying fuck about the hunger or health of their poorest constituents. It’s always about personal convenience. Vote them out.
Senate Democrats voting to dismantle the ACA to avoid any problems with their Thanksgiving travel is tragically on brand.

Maybe Tammy Duckworth can get ahold of Dick Durbin, who is apparently done listening to constituents since he won’t seek reelection. His constituents don’t matter as long as the planes run on time.

An extraordinary discovery was made in Ibiza: a 30-centimeter wooden sculpture representing Hercules. Considering the scarcity of wooden sculptures preserved from the Roman era, this discovery is truly remarkable.
The figure was found in a Roman well that was later reused as a refuse pit. 🧵1/2
