Disney/ABC have a responsibility to refuse to participate in corruption.

Kimmel must be reinstated. If Disney/ABC agree to this extortion then perhaps creatives + workers should consider collective action to push back. Same w/buying park + cruise tickets if they bow.

The fact that the one game made by an explicitly communist co-op game studio now has three successor studios making a self-proclaimed sequel to it, and dispute the legitimacy of the other two is, of course, the most communist outcome possible.

Roughly a 5 years old paper by now, but seems awfully relevant still. By a former student of @cemyuksel.com, who I believe is at Nvidia now.

Playdate refresh rate is limited based on how many rows you update on the screen.

Full screen refresh (240 rows) you get 50 frames per second (more like 51-52 without mirror running like in my video).

You can get higher framerates by updating less rows.

This is not a joke! I decided to make a drone and a cleaning mechanic after watching this movie with Chevy Chase. I watched Modern Problems a long time ago, and 2 weeks ago, after watching it again, I realized that I need a dustpan cleaner. This is how sick my brain is #gamedev

Finally I decided to learn more about lighting and start adjusting it in the game. Logic has never let me down, I asked Google what are the different types of exposure and light powers, then temperature... I tried it in Unreal Engine. It's unbelievable. Standardization! #gamedev #UnrealEngine

In our next Tiny Glade update we'll bump the light limit from 32 to 32k while keeping the cost more or less the same.

The small limit has been a cop out, as we didn't quite know how to render huge numbers of (screen-space) shadow-casting lights without severe performance degradation.

Reading internet reactions to the Krafton vs. Unknown Worlds drama, I think something getting lost is that dozens of employees thought they were on track to get life-changing bonuses and then suddenly saw them blow up. There’s still hope that Krafton will remedy that, but no straight answers yet
