Donald the Dove strikes again!
Breaking news: President Trump said he will not rule out the possibility of sending U.S. troops into Venezuela, as a buildup of U.S. forces in the region — and his increasingly combustible rhetoric — raises the prospect of military action there.
Trump says he won’t rule out sending troops into Venezuela
President Trump saying he’s not ruling out sending troops into Venezuela appeared at odds with his claim that his administration may be open to talks with Nicolás Maduro.

Enten: "Trump is 39 below water on the Epstein case. 39 points in the negative! My goodness gracious. What Trump has been selling on the Epstein files, the Epstein case, the American people have not been buying at all ... less than half of Republicans are buying it. This is his worst issue by far"

lol Trump literally ran on fixing everything on day one and has spent the last few weeks telling us he ended 8 wars.
Mike Johnson: "If you run as a socialist, you run on a big list false claims. You promise everything to everyone, and you can't deliver, and if you were able to deliver it would be to the great detriment of the people you lured in to vote for you."

Mike Johnson: "If you're a young, pregnant American citizen women who shows up in an ER and you get treated and they pay the hospital less for treating you than some illegal rabble rouser who came in from some South American country to do us harm, that is wrong."

Remembering how the media reported that the Trump campaign not only denied intent to follow Project 2025, but insisted that anyone associated would be barred from the administration.

@politico.com had a big piece about it.
President Trump says he is meeting today with Russ Vought, OMB director and "of PROJECT 2025 Fame," to discuss cuts to "Democrat Agencies."

MADELEINE DEAN: The president is unhinged. He's unwell

JOHNSON: A lot of folks on your side are too

D: Oh my god, please. That performance in front of the generals?

J: I didn't see it

D: It's so dangerous! Our allies are looking elsewhere. Our enemies are laughing. You have a POTUS who's unwell.

The mortgage fraud claim against Lisa Cook is false, per documents obtained by Reuters.

Bill Pulte's accusation, the sole pretext Trump used to fire her from the Fed, was that she claimed two homes as primary residence.

These docs show she did not.

this is exactly the kind of thing I'm talking about, whatever you want to call it: the need to make it easier to build clean energy infrastructure. it's genuinely doable! other places are doing it!
Took us about three months in the Chicago burbs. And then the city rejected our little sign to show fire fighters where the cutoff switch is. so even once installed had to wait to turn on until they agreed that X marked the spot.

to the extent there’s a plan here it’s to create a giant logjam of in-person voting in urban areas where armed goons can be stationed as intimidation monitors
There is no actual evidence mail voting helped Dems more than GOP before Trump himself started negatively polarizing GOP voters against it, and to the extent he’s engineered a partisan swap of high-engagement voters it’s possible banning it would help Dems at this point
Trump: "If you [end] mail in voting, you're not gonna have many Democrats get elected. That's bigger than anything having to do with redistricting. And the Republicans have to get smart."

Why? Why don't they know? Whose responsibility is it to ensure they know, how are those mechanisms failing, and what can we do to repair or replace them?

Those are the questions those who believe in journalism as public service should be asking ourselves. Because 48% is a failing grade.
