"We left with all of my children"

What the fuck. I mean what the actual fuck.
VAN HOLLEN: Did you in fact make the visit to Epstein's private island?

LUTNICK: I did have lunch w/ him as I was on a boat going across on a family vacation. My wife was with me as were my 4 children and nannies. We had lunch on the island. That's true. For an hour. We left with all of my children

And I'd suggest monitoring the next several payments — we're seeing reports of more problems than usual
If you bought your insurance via Healthcare.gov, now is a good time to make sure you are set up for autopay *via the insurance company* since paid your first bill via the ACA portal.

Love, someone who got a scary letter today! (I’m fine now, but in case you also spaced setting up your auto-pay…)

The horrors persist, but so must I. And my persistence means making sure people know about my job so I can feed the cats, pay the mortgage, and help support the causes I believe in.

With this in mind, the reprint editions of IMAGINARY NUMBERS and CALCULATED RISKS are out today!

It took me an hour & a half to do the thing which should have taken me 20 minutes. I have 4 more things left on my list for today.

This about sums up my life, lately, and explains why I've been absent.

But!

I accomplished a thing!

In a webinar, and I'm really sick of taking political advice from old white men.

Especially when they're talking about international relations and can't pronounce "sovereignty"

🚨Want to know which Canadian companies are profiting off of ICE and Trump’s violent mass deportation agenda?

Well I just spent the last few days digging into exactly that.

Here are the companies I found, how much they’re making, and whether they’re getting Canadian taxpayer dollars.

One of the big unspoken impacts on GenX is that a huge part of the progressive moral heart of the generation was killed by AIDS.
Backing up The Argument in NYT/Siena, Gen X still has an astonishing 49% approval for Trump (!), while Boomers have dipped to 42%.

Gen X is currently tracking at 12 pts to the right of the electorate on the generic ballot. Now 9 pts to the right of Boomers, which has to be the largest gap ever.

ICE agents love to wave around paper that looks official. Most of it is a scam — administrative forms signed by ICE supervisors, not real judicial warrants signed by judges. Let's go through what that scam paper looks like versus a real judicial warrant.

Catch up on the previous chapters here Ben had never actually thought to look up FBI offices in Michigan. He supposed that, in the back of his mind, he figured there was one in Lansing, and that was it. This wasn’t the time to Google it and educate himself, since first the agents waited for him to get ready—what was a man supposed to do to get ready, ye gods?—and then brunet, oh so friendly, offered to ride shotgun so he’d know where to go.

Catch up on the previous chapters here He often thought about hiring someone to clean his house, maybe once every other week to take care of the dusting and the vacuuming and those chores that didn’t need to be done every day but still needed to be done. What stopped him most times was the thought that he’d have to let someone in, perhaps with her own key, and he wouldn’t always know what she was up to if he was out.

Keep the pressure up.
BREAKING and HUGE news for transgender people: The bipartisan final negotiated text for these spending bills REMOVED language to restrict gender-affirming care as part of the Federal Employees Health Benefit Program.

He had his work phone, his personal phone—which was a joke as far as the phone part actually went, because who called him now that Ma was dead?—and a couple more burner phones in case he needed to call someone and it wasn’t business, but he only had the one laptop.
