The people who told you they were protecting the kids only to be part of an international child abuse ring? They're your enemies. The people who are gutting social services, educational funding, medical research, the environment, etc are your enemy. Not the drag queen reading story books.

We got to brutal mass deportations in the same way we got cops doing the lynchings & calling it an accident or a mistake or a tragic error. The reform school and Indian boarding school systems killed kids and wrecked communities and even now we're still pretending institutionalized abuse is a fluke

Thanksgiving used to be my favorite holiday. But now it's equal parts enjoying time with friends and some family who take reasonable precautions in my behalf, and absolutely hating that *my* extended family won't even commit to staying home if they feel sick so that I can attend.

If you’re a journalist who’s still on Twitter, from now on in your writing you have to replace “the American people want” with “troll bots in Eastern Europe demand”

Being there makes your judgment suspect. I don’t care how savvy you think you are, you’re marinating in a disinformation campaign.

It's time for everyone's favorite chronologically unanchored holiday, The Story of the Lizard in the Leg.
Because people keep asking, the Story of The Lizard In That Dude's Leg. Some caveats:

1. This happened more than twenty years ago. There are no pictures. There was a small article in a local paper with, again, no pictures (I'm assuming that's what the producers of 9-1-1: LONE STAR found).

Outside of the absolute bombshell of a name 🙄 there are so many WTAF parts of this abhorrent bill.

All this bill does is encourage people to buy absolute shit policies and hope they never get sick or injured.

Important 🧵 if you have Roblox aged children
Oh, God, this is one of those "where do I even start" things, because Roblox is, like, *fractally* fucked. They are terrible at content moderation. A lot of the games are rated incorrectly, so kids can encounter graphic content (sex or violence) out of nowhere --

Funny how we’re not hearing about “second amendment remedies” on a Fox News these days
A video from inside a Border Patrol vehicle shows agents chasing a US citizen for filming them. The citizen refused to get out when they illegally ordered him to stop. The agents say: "This is great." "This is fun." "He's going to get shot."

For the public

“Vaccines do not cause autism” is the message.

If you start talking about “association,” you’ve lost. And we lose herd immunity.

So, today I discovered that I'm temporarily allergic to oranges again. Usually it's grapes first and I discover via fruit juice upsetting my stomach but whatever. This time the orange I ate gave me a migraine.

The IDEA is marking its 50th anniversary amidst significant challenges.

Students with disabilities face heightened risks as funding, services, and federal safeguards are threatened.

Additionally, reductions in federal staff responsible for these essential programs exacerbate the situation.

Okay, this causes me physical pain to say, but RFK is (for once) not actually being a total weirdo here. He’s a guest of the Nez Perce at a fish hatchery. The Pacific lamprey and the salmon are culturally important to the Nez Perce people, and they are lobbying to remove dams from the Snake River.
The head of health services in the United States, letting parasitic lampreys bite his arms for some godforsaken reason.

Story time:
When I was a kid there was this property in our family that was right on the bayou. It was only about 20 minutes away so we would go there all the time. My aunt lived on one half of the property and the other half was empty except for a cabin and a couple of old out buildings.

The modern trend for putting people in low arm chairs when being interviewed onstage is just very weird. It's true that Vance looks like he's balancing on the edge of a toilet, but everyone looks weird in those chairs. We used to put them on barstools.
JD Vance: "He's fundamentally a humanitarian, and we've got 8 peace deals at this point. We're working on number 9 and number 10. And I think if he gets number 10, purely for mathematical harmony the Nobel Prize should be awarded to Donald J Trump."
