Foone won’t remember me but she helped me once nearly a decade ago when I was in a terrible spot and had few friends that were able. She’s good people and I’m heartbroken hearing this news. Please reskeet / chip in a few if you can.
I've been bedridden for the last 6 months, unable to work as I try to get a surgeon and insurance lined up for my operation to let me work again.
If you could send a couple dollars, it'd really help. Time isn't on my side here, and waiting is very expensive.

Some of you may not want to hear this, but even the most evil people that are incarcerated for good reasons are still human beings and deserve basic human rights seen to.
EXCLUSIVE: A forced detransition policy had disastrous effects in one Georgia prison, according to the manager of the medical unit there.

The policy is on hold due to a court order requiring prisons to re-start hormone treatments for incarcerated people in GA.

My personal “Don’t give to the Salvation Army” story:
When I was homeless in 2019, the Salvation Army shelter refused to give me a bed (even though they were available), because I was on immunosuppressant meds and they didn’t want to be responsible or liable if I got more sick or died on premises. They’d rather I die on the street.
It’s dinner time for the police. Appears to be pizza from a Salvation Army van.

Broadview’s “free speech” curfew starts soon, at 6pm.

It isn’t “slut shaming” to say you shouldn’t sleep with RFK Jr. anymore than it‘s “fat shaming” to say you shouldn’t offer the CEO of McDonalds favorable coverage in exchange for getting to eat three day old French fries off the floor of the worst run burger joint in the country.

Party at my place when this company goes bankrupt. The Llano school district is paying for this software a whopping seven whole parents in the whole district are using it. SEVEN. An absolute waste of taxpayer money and a theft from the children in that district.
The company, Bookmarked, pitches itself as an “antivirus for libraries.”

It promises to scan thousands of titles and alert schools — and even parents — to books that could cause “board liability” or “media attention.” 2/ www.expressnews.com/politics/art...
'Antivirus for libraries': How a Texas startup is capitalizing on book bans
The company Bookmarked, whose cofounder advocated for SB 13, describes itself as a neutral player in the censorship debate. Critics disagree.

This was all carried out because feminism has the capacity to galvanise a massive portion of society, bigger than any other demographic. It has the ability to change the world and dismantle this fucked system... but only in coalition with minority groups that are subjected to the same abuses

It's Trans Awareness Week! So increase your weekly awareness of us by reading our stories.

(Our books also make great holiday gifts for your conservative relatives you'd like to never speak to you again!)
On that note:

Trans authors (I mean authors who are trans, NOT cis people who write about trans people), drop your book links here and I'll try to repost as many as I can throughout the day.

Cis people: Repost trans authors' book links.

Cis people who want to complain about being excluded: gtfo
Being a trans author is fucking weird right now. Hell is actively unfolding all around us but I still need to be like, "hey, everyone, wanna buy my silly little queer book? It won't make anything better, but it's kinda fun?"

So....hey, everyone, wanna buy my silly little queer book?
