Despite knowing this review, I was blown away by the self-regard when I saw the movie. Esp when Buster Keaton does his bit straight late in the film, and provides the first real laugh.

If you are a Gen Xer, it is your responsibility to tell anyone 45-20 that “I wanna sex you up” was about a dangerous trend of people having sex in hot tubs on sedatives. Doing it till you both wake up, making love until you drown, it was a youth fad scandal!

I refuse to acknowledge anything after CMB. They made five great singles (the racy one about narcoleptic hot tub sex, the bilingual ballad, the insanely happy one, the slow jam fucksong and the funky fucksong) and dropped the mic. No worlds left to conquer.

The audacity to say “we need to get past who betrayed who, and come together” to the people who don’t have the ability or POWER to betray, only be betrayed.

Don’t trust me, I can’t believe how much I’m enjoying PiL’s This Is What You Want…This Is What You Get, an album I’ve spent decades assuming I couldn’t possibly like. Turns out to be very Romeo Void and builds off Martin Atkins’ work on Flowers Of Romance. “Love Song” better in context. Damn.

An actor in the new hell house movie is edited starting a line up high…looking around while saying the second part lower…then turning to face his scene partner before saying last part low…twice. High…mid…low…high…mid…low. I don’t think I’ve EVER seen this before. An uncanny valley of inflection.
