Shout out to the ice officers in Portland for trying to tear gas my seven year old today.

I can't put into words the feeling of watching our government, a hive of evil antisocial filth, the absolute worst humanity has to offer, colliding with the best. Ordinary people trying to help each other, risking everything to stand up for what's plainly, unambiguously fair and right. It's unreal

Vigil/press conference featuring six city councilors ends with an “abolish ICE” chant and the Portland crows circling overhead.

I’ve cleaned up so much in my life. Stopped drinking, no pot, spent months working out and getting full nights of sleep and eating healthy — and I feel like shouting from the rooftops, hey everybody!! I made these changes and it has led to no discernible difference in my life whatsoever!!

We’ve seen this in Chicago. Now we’re seeing it across the country.

ICE is a lawless secret police force and must be abolished. This is fucking horrific.
Absolutely horrific details about an ICE shooting in Minneapolis.

A witness says a woman was trying to drive away from an ICE operation and the ICE agent "reached across the hood of the car and shot her in the face like three, four times."

Bovino was there.

The entirety of Twin Peaks s3
Given that apparently the Stranger Things finale was meh (idk, didn't watch it, just the scuttlebutt) and we're not that far removed from the disastrous GOT finale that retroactively made everyone have never cared about the show:

What's the *best* ending to a show you've ever seen? Quote/reply etc

Can someone please point me towards the soccer equivalent of the Effectively Wild podcast? This is niche request but it matters, to me

It's worth reading the whole interview in full. It basically verifies that the NYT has spent the past decade-plus doubling down on top-down narratives for coverage, getting more intense over time.

Sulzberg personally picked & chose whom the news apparatus would target and whom it would kiss up to.
In this in-depth interview Billie Jean Sweeney — a former editor at The New York Times — details how the paper shifted towards openly promoting anti-trans hatred, why this was directed from the very top, how some staff pushed back and the immense damage done by the NYT legitimizing bigotry.

Secretly recording a podcast that will only launch after the first year or two is in the can, because a good party needs to already be mid-swing before guests show up. Sad paradox but true

Game 3 is THE WAY OUT, a tarot-driven rpg where the same characters live through the end of the world again and again.

It's inspired by BOB games, but uses a central tarot talon to track the moves. Each move pushes the world closer to its end, and each end leads to a new beginning.

This is such a strong $25 bundle. 20% off of three games that were already (imo) priced 20% lower than you'd expect to pay for work this good.
still figuring out if insurance will cover it, but in the meantime it'd mean the world if you'd consider:

1. picking up my latest game "The Vatican Stole the Menorah and We're Going to Steal Back": jumpgategames.itch.io/tvstmawgtsib
2. or a 20% bundle of all my other games: itch.io/s/176257/jum...

if you haven't already, go throw a couple bucks to the reelection campaigns of Mitch Green, Angelita Morillo and Tiffany Koyama-Lane.

If you're a portland resident the public match program means even donating $25 to each is a huge boost; we need all three of them to stay on council this next fall
Reflecting on my first year as a city councilor, and I’m so proud of what my team and I have accomplished, and we’re just getting started.

I banned rental price fixing, created fees for landlords who want to profit off detention facilities (like ICE)

Also if you enjoyed the Balatro OST, Gnosia!!!
Now adapted into a hit anime series (GORGEOUS animation, despite being 90% dialogue), Gnosia is just plain experimental.

Framed like a visual novel, blended with a Werewolf-esque social deduction game as you try to figure out who is an impostor, with the story unraveling through multiple timelines.

The Gnosia lie. Pretending to be human, they’ll get in close, trick and deceive, and then eliminate one victim at a time...

Gnosia worked its way deep into my blood. Hadn’t realized it was now an anime? Which I hope leads to more people discovering the game, it’s really special. If you know of anything with a remotely similar gameplay loop, lmk
