It could be really bad for Discord if Californians contact the office of the Attorney General to report the potential violations of CCPA and CALOPPA citing the recent breach from a few months back where 1.5tb of user data and millions of IDs were leaked, but who can say for sure?

I've had desire paths running in the background over the last 6~ months and it's been a small but consistent joy to stumble onto a page in the middle of the night and find not just old purple links, but also the weird wandering path of mouse hovers and previews and almost-clicks that I once followed

I also made a version that ran live in @pankegallery.bsky.social for the duration of Hostile Platforms / Beloved Margins last October which was a real joy because you got to pick up and further a collective path, just like a real desire path in a public place

were it not for the active exploitation of contract workers i would find this neopets ttrpg debacle really enjoyable. what a treat to have an adaptive work that completely crashes the original thing through a plate glass window
The Death and Dying section is like 6 paragraphs deep. In the Neopets TTRPG.

Once again: Focusing on their lack of training is a mistake. With "better training," their violence would simply cost more, and they would still kill whoever they wanted, but make it look more professional — to make people more comfortable, the way many of you are at ease with local police violence.

I've talked to people on the ground about the strike here tomorrow, and the single thing everyone brings up is just how shockingly wide the support for the strike is. Businesses that no one would have expected to support it are doing so.
National media should really be covering the fact thay every major school, museum, and arts institution in the Twin Cities, and hundreds of local businesses are closed tomorrow to protest federal occupation.

Nothing like this at this scale has happened anywhere in America anytime in living memory.

It has been an incredible experience working with @meredithgran.com on Perfect Tides: Station to Station.

So much thought and care went into the words, story, art, music, and systems (yes, systems), and it is amazing to see it already resonating so much with players who value those things.

I think people underestimate how big this is. Like a city-wide strike is not something that has happened in the US for nearly 100 years
there are a bunch of big names on this list, including multiple beard award winners, and some places i never would have guessed in a hundred years (the malt shop?!) and i'm genuinely floored and delighted to see so many participants

placeholder art is supposed to look like this. you're supposed to make it in 5 seconds.

it's a crucial part of the process because a placeholder will often be remarkably similar to the final art/text, because you were unburdened by bigger details when you made it.
