Every Democrat running for office needs to promise investigations and full prosecutions from top to bottom, remove its funding bloat then break up the agency and distribute its core remaining useful functions across other agencies.
ICE detain father shopping on Christmas Eve—then steal his family's groceries.

Then 3 agents divvy up his paid for food—taking what they want for themselves.

"Can I just get the wife's number to call and let her know?" woman asks.

"No, guess he should've complied," agent says.

This is precisely the intention of vouchers. They are an elaborate plot to destroy the public education system, which is part of a larger plot to enslave the American population
Arizona, the model for voucher programs across the country, spent so much money paying private schoolers’ tuition that it faced hundreds of millions in budget cuts to critical state programs and projects last year.

If the Venezuelan sailors were enemy combatants, then the 2nd strike is a war crime.

If the Venezuelan sailors weren’t enemy combatants, then both strikes are criminal murder.

It’s that simple.

ah, perhaps instead of pumping millions into endless factional infighting Dem donors could invest in making local Dem organizations genuine civic spaces that can reach people during and between elections

We are fighting for true freedom. The freedom to live a life of dignity and joy.

A life of 80 hour work weeks, of constantly struggling to get by, being trapped in a shitty job by your health insurance — this is not freedom, and we are not free. But we could be. If we fight.

Disheartened to see @tinakotek.bsky.social fundraising for Janet Mills. I respect the work Kotek has been doing in OR on housing, but @grahamformaine.bsky.social is the stronger candidate because he's focused on standing up to the oligarchy and fighting for the working-class.

We aren't on the verge of an authoritarian takeover. We are in the middle of it.

But I worry people don't see the whole scheme. They just pay attention to each new daily outrage. So I went to the Senate floor to explain Trump's plan.

Here's a 🧵of the speech. It's important.

I found this pretty persuasive. Maybe there's some evidence of real harm from the current regulatory status quo but doesn't really seem to be.

"Dems will get blamed for a shutdown" as opposed to what, all the friendly coverage and positive credit they'd get for caving yet again? This whole premise is built on a delusion about what the alternative is. There's no cowering in the corner and being so inoffensive they won't still attack you.

Democrats should never vote to fund a government that's waging war on its own citizens and firing officials *because* they insist on following court orders instead of breaking the law. Let Senate Republicans nuke the filibuster. None of this is normal and it shouldn't be treated as such.

The Dem Senate leadership's unbelievable negotiating position is that they will give Trump everything he wants except that they demand: an extension of Obamacare subsidies so that they expire right after the midterms, not before. This sounds like political malpractice on several levels.

Democrats shouldn't vote for a CR unless the following conditions are met:
1. NG out of DC and PD returned to locals.
2. RFK et al out at HHS.
3. Hegseth out at DOD.
4. No face coverings for fed. police.
5. Renounce Cook's fake firing.
6. Revoke the tariffs.

Shut down the government otherwise.
