Was driving my kids to school and the first thing on the radio was reporting about Trump's video depicting the Obamas as apes and I think many people still don't fully appreciate what it means to have to raise Black children in a country where the president is so brazenly and consistently racist

My dad was telling me the other day how he put in a water shutoff valve system when he bought and flipped his house in Indiana so if there is a problem somewhere, he can easily turn it off and keep other parts on the house functional.
I want that along with vents. Frozen pipes SUX DELUX!

My personal belief is that the leaky ducts on our basement HVAC has kept our pipes from freezing.
Whenever we replace the HVAC I am going to ask for an adjustable vent to let some warm air out into the basement during cold snaps.
