Jeffrey Epstein – Spectre Journal
Andrew Osborne analyzes the social dynamics that made Jeffrey Epstein an indispensable exemplar of capitalist appropriation before, ultimately, rendering him redundant.

Got a tip recently about how Trump's tariffs are preventing libraries from sharing books, and causing their loaned books to get stuck or lost in other countries: www.404media.co/libraries-ca...
Libraries Can’t Get Their Loaned Books Back Because of Trump’s Tariffs
Libraries have shared their collections internationally for decades. Trump’s tariffs are throwing that system into chaos and can ‘hinder academic progress.’

I asked U.S. Northern Command about this (as the federalized California troops are under their authority); they directed me to the Pentagon which directed me to the White House. a WH spokesperson said Trump "exercised his lawful authority" after alleged "violent riots and attacks on law enforcement"

Not even the prospect of a $20 billion bailout paid by U.S. taxpayers is stabilizing Argentina after Milei’s peso/dollar manipulation failed. His sister (and chief of staff) is caught in a bribery scandal, and his top candidate was caught taking $200k from a narco. It’s over.

ICE reportedly opened fire on rapid responders on the southwest side this afternoon.

There are *very few* details on this available at this time. Treat all rumors with caution until verified.

This Sun-Times article cites a DHS statement that should be treated, as always, with extreme skepticism:
Shooting involving federal agents in Brighton Park under investigation
According to the Department of Homeland Security, a woman allegedly "boxed in" federal authorities, who opened fire.

I spoke to a Venezuelan woman who was arrested in this raid and later released with her 4yo son. She said agents broke down their door, pointed guns at them and made sexualized remarks about Venezuelan women. When she returned to her apartment it was boarded up and all her possessions were gone.
